Depending upon where you are, shipping is a function of contract and not cost. Here in Hawaii, I can pay 30x the postal system for UPS shipping on a 4 oz part. It's crazy, but the shippers have contracts they sell.

Look for any other place with the same product, but a different shipper. Even if it's more expensive, it may be more acceptable with the shipping. (Or do like me and send it to a friend where they can ship cheap, and then have them send it to you with a good shipping rate.)
